Years of Family Tradition

McMahon Meats began its family tradition of providing quality meat at competitive prices in 1963. We pride ourselves on our quality and convenient customer service.

Two generations of the McMahon family have worked together for many years to provide quality meat to Teutopolis and the surrounding areas:

  • 1963 – Larry and Martha McMahon bought Teutopolis Locker Service. The business' early years included butchering, processing, and locker rental for meat storage. Larry and Martha (Mert), along with their children, ran a thriving business into the new millennium.
  •  2002 – After Larry's death, Mert and her children took over the business.
  • 2003 – Toby McMahon, Larry's youngest son, joined Teutopolis Locker as a full-time employee.
  • 2007 – After Mert's death, the McMahon siblings continued to run Teutopolis Locker with Toby as the full-time manager.
  • 2010 – 2013 – Toby McMahon became the sole owner of Teutopolis Locker.
  • 2015 – Margo and Brent McMahon built a new location and continued to pass on the long family tradition of quality customer service to Effingham County's residents.
